Specialty Jazz Sampler
The Mark Kramer Trio

This brilliant CD includes tracks from our catalogue of specialty jazz. It is designed to give you a taste of this new genre.

This is the first time to our knowledge that an entire MOZART symphony has been transformed into jazz. Enjoy the first movement of the Symphony in G minor (K.550) on this superb sampler disk. Performed by Mark Kramer, John Mosemann, and Gary Mazzaroppi. According to MOZART scholars, this work sounds as if MOZART might have written the symphony for a jazz trio! This arrangement follows the symphony note for note in many sections, with added jazz harmonies and feels, and unique improvisations on Mozart's chord changes.

Also, this specialty jazz sampler includes a preview of Mark Kramer, Lennie White and Charles Fambrough bringing the Rolling Stones into the jazz arena. Does it work? Listen to the sample of DON'T GET NO SATISIFACTON and be prepared for a surprise!

A John Williams score in Jazz? The Trio (with special guest artist, Matthew Parrish) went for the gusto with their arrangement of the John Williams score for The Sorcerer's Stone (HARRY [H]OTTER). There is something in this rendition for everyone, including kids.

Need some spirit for the holidays? Then the shine a laser light on JAZZ CHRISTMAS. Santa is certainly swinging into town!

To top off this unique Sampler CD is a bonus track of Duke Ellington's classic 'Caravan.'

So, what is all of this? It is easier to say what it is not. It is not "jazzing up" the Classics, or Christmas music, or any of the other works on this CD. Rather, each selection had been analyzed for its potential to become bona-fide jazz. The result is spontaneous, emotional, and creative jazz. Experience the magic of a new world of music - Specialty Jazz."

Recorded in high definition digital audio, warmed for a rich analog sound (without the hiss!)
